The Academic Cultural Heritage Department (ACHD) is a department of Babeș-Bolyai University, whose main objective is to preserve our university’s museum, archive, and artistic heritage and to promote it to the academic community and the public.
Established in the fall of 2013, the ACHD manages our university’s museums, Historical Archive, and three art galleries. The management, research, and valorization of such a diverse heritage are the result of the work of a creative, dynamic, and professional team. As a promoter of university culture, the ACHD actively collaborates with other institutions to strengthen BBU’s contribution to local and national socio-cultural life.
Building on the tradition and excellence that have turned BBU into one of the most prestigious Central-Eastern European universities, the experience ACHD has accumulated over the decade since its establishment is attested by numerous memorable exhibitions, cultural events, and publications.
